At 15:30 p. m. on September 21, 2017, Ning Jizhe, deputy director of the National Development and Reform Commission (and director of the Bureau of Statistics), accompanied by the leaders of Huang Qiang, vice governor of Gansu Province, Jiuquan Municipal Party Committee and Dunhuang Municipal Party Committee, went deep into the first voyage to observe and inspect the energy-saving Dunhuang Photothermal Power Generation Base. Deputy Director Ning Jizhe and his party first visited the first 10MW energy-saving Dunhuang Phase I project, and then inspected the site of the Phase II project under intense construction. Vice Chairman Huang Wenbo reported the operation and construction progress of the project to the observation team. At present, the first voyage of energy-saving Dunhuang Phase I 10MW solar thermal power plant is in good condition.

The first 100MW tower molten salt photothermal project in Dunhuang Phase II, which belongs to the first batch of national demonstration photothermal power stations, will soon be capped. In the second phase, more than 8000 multi-faceted heliostat foundations have been completed, and the installation of heliostat columns has begun. At present, the heliostat assembly workshop has been capped. The project is expected to be connected to the grid in August 2018.

Deputy Director Ning Jizhe listened to the report of Vice Chairman Huang Wenbo, and learned in detail about the talent reserve and technical reserve of the first flight energy conservation, and affirmed the achievements of the first flight energy conservation in the field of clean energy. In addition, Deputy Director Ning and Vice Governor Tang Qiang learned about the system equipment suppliers and the heat exchange efficiency of the first phase, and were interested in wearing a refractive mirror to watch the heat collection operation status of the first phase heat absorber.
