From September 16th to 18th, the 4th Long-Term Energy Storage Conference and Exhibition, themed "Reconstructing the Energy Storage Landscape - Strengthening the Energy Foundation", was held at the Xi'an International Convention and Exhibition Center. First Horizon Hi-Tech showcased its technologies such as solar thermal molten salt energy storage, thermochemical energy storage, and compressed carbon dioxide energy storage at this exhibition. It presented the research and development achievements, equipment strength, and engineering exploration results in the diverse technical routes of long-term energy storage to the industry, and comprehensively demonstrated the integrated energy storage solutions for the new power system.

During the special report session of this forum, Dr. Liu Hanqing from the Joint Research Center of Changhang - Xi'an Jiaotong University for Thermal Chemical Energy Storage Technology delivered a special report titled "Research on Calcium-Based Hydrated Thermal Chemical Energy Storage Technology and Prospects for Multi-Objective Application Scenarios".

The report focused on the practical demand for long-term energy storage in the new power system, and elaborated from four dimensions: research background, construction of calcium-based hydrated fixed-bed thermal chemical systems, dynamic characteristics research of thermal chemical reactors, and prospects for multi-objective application scenarios. It pointed out that calcium-based hydrated thermal chemical energy storage technology, with its prominent advantages such as low material cost, high energy storage density, and the ability to achieve cross-seasonal energy storage, has great industrialization potential. It fully demonstrated the application value and broad development prospects of calcium-based hydrated thermal chemical energy storage technology.

Relying on the collaborative advantages of industry-university-research cooperation of the "Shouhang - Xi'an Jiaotong University Joint Research Center for Thermal Chemical Energy Storage Technology", the subsequent team will continue to tackle core issues such as reactor heat exchange enhancement, cycle performance improvement, and system cost reduction, and accelerate the implementation of the demonstration project of calcium-based thermal chemical heat storage technology. In the future, Shouhang Hi-tech will also continue to deeply explore multiple long-term energy storage technology tracks, constantly refine technologies and equipment, and use diversified energy storage innovation to empower energy transformation, contributing hard power to achieving the "carbon neutrality" goal.
