Good News | The first "Little waist" in the west has made new progress - the steel structures of the 15th, 16th, 2nd floors and the expansion platform of the No. 1 intercooling tower of Liupanshan Power Plant have been successfully closed

Recently, the No. 1 intercooling tower of Ningxia Liupanshan Power Plant, which is EPC contracted by Shouhang High-Tech, has achieved a major milestone - the steel structures of the 15th, 16th, 2nd floors and the expansion platform have been successfully closed, and the project will enter the inverted installation stage. Adopting the reverse approach will significantly reduce the workload of high-altitude operations. As the first 1 million kilowatt-level hyperbolic single-layer grid shell air-cooling tower in China, this closure marks another benchmark set by Shouhang Hi-Tech in the field of steel structure air-cooling technology, providing a "Chinese solution" for the green transformation of global super-large thermal power projects.

This project adopts the "high-efficiency ultra-supercritical" power generation technology and is equipped with a "one machine, one tower" configuration. The total height of a single tower reaches 190 meters, and the tower body is modularly assembled in 16 layers. Innovatively breaking through the traditional concrete tower model, it adopts a hyperbolic single-layer grid shell spatial structure and is supported as a whole by 42 inclined supports. The diameter of the tower body changes dynamically with height, forming a streamlined "small waist" surface that combines aesthetics and mechanics. Through efficient air flow organization, the cooling efficiency is significantly improved.
