On August 10, 2016, Li Yangzhe, deputy director of the State Energy Administration, and his party visited the first voyage's energy-saving Dunhuang photothermal power generation project to conduct on-site investigation. They visited the first voyage's energy-saving 10,100 MW photothermal molten salt tower project and the on-site automated assembly workshop, and affirmed the construction progress of the first voyage's energy-saving technology and tower photothermal molten salt project. At present, the first voyage energy-saving Dunhuang light-heat molten salt tower project has entered the commissioning stage of each subsystem. It is reported that Shouhang Energy Saving began to enter photothermal power generation in 2010 and has been implemented one after another: the acquisition of the Electric Power Design Institute; the establishment of Shouhang Solar Thermal Subsidiary; the establishment of Shouhang Energy Saving Europe Company in Spain, introducing a large number of experienced design, manufacturing, commissioning and operation professionals of photothermal power generation at home and abroad; the company focuses on independent research and development of enterprises, in conjunction with European scientific research enterprises and universities, we have jointly developed the technology of photothermal power generation concentrating system, heat absorption system, heat storage system and photoelectric integrated control system. At the same time, we have developed photothermal design calculation analysis software and photothermal design operation simulation software with independent intellectual property rights, and introduced international advanced photothermal concentrating system production line and heat absorption system production line to ensure that the design technology and key equipment manufacturing of photothermal power generation reach the advanced level in Europe and America. The first energy-saving Dunhuang 10MW photothermal molten salt tower project is expected to reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 55000 tons, sulfur dioxide by 1500 tons, NOx by 750 tons and carbon dust by 13600 tons per year. At the same time, it can also consume excess capacity of 180000 square meters of glass and 10000 tons of steel. The process of photothermal power generation is the same as the traditional nuclear power, coal-fired and gas-fired power generation. It can generate electricity day and night and can be used as a basic power source and peak shaving power source. However, solar thermal power generation has the characteristics of 100% regeneration and zero emission of harmful substances. Therefore, solar energy is a kind of clean energy that can meet the demand and is safe and reliable.
